Privacy & advertising choices

Last updated: October 24, 2026.

Playing together

Drawback stores your chosen name, avatar, optional title, room settings, clues, guesses and drawings to run the game. Other players in your room can see your profile and contributions. Anyone with an invite code can join while the room is open, so avoid sharing sensitive information in a game.

Rooms expire after 24 hours without activity. Archived drawings expire after 24 hours. Downloaded GIFs remain on the devices where people save them and can be shared by those people. Hosting providers may process network information such as IP addresses and operational logs to deliver and protect the service.

Storage on your device

Your browser remembers your profile and theme in local storage. Session storage keeps the room session for that tab. You can remove these by clearing this site’s browser data; that may sign you out of a room. These features work independently of advertising choices.

Advertising and Google consent messaging

Advertising placements are currently disabled. Drawback loads Google’s AdSense JavaScript to initialize its built-in Privacy & Messaging consent system, with ad requests explicitly paused. Choosing consent does not turn advertising on.

Google’s consent service may process your IP address, browser information and consent choices to determine which privacy message applies and remember your decision using cookies or similar storage. Loading this service makes requests to Google even while advertising is disabled. Google states that its paused ad tag may read existing Google-domain cookies without using that information for ad serving or measurement. Consent records are managed by Google’s consent system, separately from Drawback’s saved game profile.

Advertising cookies and third parties

If advertising is activated, third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies in your browser to serve ads based on your previous visits to Drawback and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads using activity across those sites, subject to your choices and applicable requirements. Other participating advertising vendors and networks may also use their own cookies and similar technologies.

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Advertising services may also use pixels or web beacons, device identifiers, IP addresses, browser information and ad interactions. These technologies help deliver ads, measure their performance, limit repeated ads, and detect fraud. Non-personalized ads can still involve cookies for measurement or fraud prevention; turning off personalization is not the same as blocking all advertising storage.

Game names, clues, guesses, custom word lists and drawings are not deliberately sent to the advertising integration. Google and other ad providers process advertising information under their own policies. Read how Google uses information from partner sites and Google’s privacy policy. Drawback uses AdSense’s automatically included common ad partners. The current partner names, purposes and privacy-policy links are provided in Google’s European message through its partner list and Manage options; this list can change. Selecting these partners in the consent system does not activate ad placements.

Your consent and advertising choices

Drawback uses Google AdSense’s built-in consent management platform, not a separate third-party consent provider. Where Google delivers the European regulations message, you can select Consent, Do not consent, or Manage options to review purposes and partners. Continuing to play is not treated by Drawback as consent. Declining optional consent does not restrict the game, and no consent choice activates ads in this release.

Select “Manage advertising choices” to reopen Google’s European consent message when it applies to your visit. For applicable US state privacy choices, use Google’s own “Do not sell or share my personal information” control on the page. Google determines message availability for your visit; if its controls cannot load, the button explains that and you can continue playing. Changes are handled by Google’s consent interface and do not erase information already processed by providers.

Personalization opt-outs and browser controls

You can turn off Google’s personalized advertising through My Ad Center. For participating third-party companies, visit the Digital Advertising Alliance’s WebChoices tool or the provider’s own privacy settings. These opt-outs concern personalized ads, may apply only to participating providers, and do not necessarily stop all ads or data collection.

Your browser can also block third-party cookies or delete stored cookies and site data. Some choices depend on your browser, device, or signed-in account; you may need to repeat them on another device or after clearing cookies. Clearing Drawback’s site data can also remove your saved profile, theme and room session. These external controls supplement the consent settings on this page.

Operator contact

The operator’s confirmed identity and privacy contact details will be published in this section before advertising is activated. No privacy contact email has been provided yet. For questions about a particular shared game, you can also contact the person who invited you.
